Hello HRES families!
Our yearly giving tree is up in the main lobby and tags are ready to be taken. Each tag has a gift wish list item that will help families in our HRES community. If you would like your student to pick-up a tag to buy a holiday gift for someone, please let your child's classroom teacher know and they can come get a tree tag.

Reminder: Picture Retakes are tomorrow, 11/21.
If your student missed our original picture day in October, they will be able to get their picture taken during retakes tomorrow.
If you have received your students' photo and would like them to get a retake, please send them to school with the original photo package to return to the photographer.
If your student has the digital photo and you would like a retake, please send your student in with a note to give to their teacher so they know to send them up for a retake.

As you may be aware, a disturbing nationwide trend has made its way to Massachusetts.
While the Attleboro Public Schools community has not received any reports of these messages yet, they have been reported in several states, including Alabama, California, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
In these states, students of color have received texts that have some variation of a message that they have been “selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation.”
This is an abhorrent trend that does not reflect our values as a school community or a people. Racism in any form has no place in our schools, our community, or our society, and we will stand firm in our efforts to eradicate it.
Massachusetts State Police have been notified of the instances that occurred in Massachusetts, and police in other communities are working with the Commonwealth Fusion Center to investigate the matter and share resources. Please contact your local police should you have received a message as described above.
Thank you for your continued support.

Reminder: Tomorrow, November 7th, is a half day of school. Dismissal will be at 12:25pm. Please inform your child's teacher and the front office if they will be getting home a different way. Please remember to be at your child's bus stop to prevent students being returned to Hill-Roberts. Bus stop times shift up 3 hours, please arrive at your child's bus stop 10 minutes early.

Due to an ongoing lack of rainfall and critically low water supply levels, Attleboro needs your help to conserve water resources.
