Dear Hill-Roberts Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather! June is here!
We had a lot of exciting events this week! The picture above is of the graduating seniors who went to Hill-Roberts. They walked through the building and were cheered on by our K-4 students, before our K-3 students had their own Step Up Hour. During Step Up Hour students went with their current class to visit all of next year’s teacher’s classrooms. For example, each Kindergarten classroom visited all of the 1st grade classrooms, each of the 1st grade classrooms visited all of the grade 2 classrooms, and so forth and so on. While it was exciting it also seemed to alleviate a lot of their stress and anxiety our students were having about what next year will look and feel like :).
A few quick notes for the weeks ahead:
All grades - BOGO Bookfair continues for Monday and Tuesday!
4th Grade - you should have received a message directly from Coelho about their Welcome to MS Night from 6-8pm this Wednesday (included here just in case)
Grades 1-4 - Please consider becoming a Field Day Volunteer (6/11) - we still need ten volunteers for Grades 3 and 4 and only six volunteers for Grades 1 and 2.
K families - 6/5 (full day) is the last day of Kindergarten
Grades 1-4 - 6/14 (half day) is the last day for Grades 1-4

Family Focus Groups (ENGLISH): June 3, 2024, 5:15-6:15PM
All grade 5 students across the district are provided a new chromebook. As a result, we will be collecting grade 4 chromebooks on Friday, June 7th as they will be repurposed for use by another grade level next year. Please return the chromebooks with a charging adapter. Students who return their chromebooks without an adapter will be assessed a $25 replacement fee. Replacement adapters can be purchased through Amazon, Best Buy, Staples and other retailers….See full message for links to replacement chargers.
Update - Field Day Volunteers Still Needed at all Levels - Sign-Up Here, Save the Date - 6/11
Field Day is Tuesday, June 11th for Grades 1-4 (note: K has their own activities on 6/5) and we are looking for VOLUNTEERS! Please sign up for one (or more) of the time slots here to help give our students a spectacular and memorable day. You can also help by lending a tent/canopy and/or a cooler for us to use for the day. Please drop off items by Monday, June 10th at the front office and label with your student's name so arrangements can be made for its return.Please direct all Field Day questions to Mr. Sabatino, PE Teacher, at asabatino@attleboroschools.com.
Note: All volunteers must have a CORI on file with the school. It's quick and easy! Please call 508-399-7560 or visit the HRES main office if you have questions.

We are proudly continuing the 4th Grade Clap Out tradition, while adding on a 4th Grade Move Up Ceremony. Please RSVP using the QR code below. Please note, with half-day, dismissal traffic we need to limit guests to two adults (a child in your lap is fine). Thank you for your understanding in advance!
Update - 24-25 Transportation Application Open!
24-25 Transportation Application Open! New this year, all eligible students, including Kindergarten and First grade, who wish to ride the bus to/from any of the Attleboro Public Schools MUST complete the Transportation Application to secure transportation. The only exception to this is for those with specialized transportation needs listed in an IEP. PTO Announcements
The 2023-2024 HRES Yearbook is now ON SALE!! This year’s yearbook will be $13 payable to the PTO via CheddarUp, cash, or check. The first 100 yearbooks ordered will be delivered before the end of the school year. Any additional books over and above 100 will be delivered later in June.
If you haven’t ordered yet, not to worry!! You can order at Family Night on Tuesday, May 28!
4TH GRADE FAMILIES!! Please don’t forget – your student will receive a yearbook from the PTO as our gift as they move on to middle school, so no need to order one!
The BOGO Book Fair is back starting May 28 and running to June 4! We need Volunteers! Sign up to Volunteer. Create an e-wallet for your child. We look forward to seeing you!
Teacher Book Fair Wish Bins
Many HRES classroom teachers have chosen books at the BOGO Book Fair that they would like for their classroom libraries. These books can be viewed at http://tiny.cc/HRESBOGO24-Wishes. Wish books are eligible for the Buy One, Get One Free deal and can be combined with personal purchases or purchased separately. To purchase teacher wish books or contribute to Share the Fair classroom funds, please either visit the book fair or email HillRobertsBookFair@gmail.com. Purchases and donations can be made through noon on Tuesday 6/4. We appreciate your continued support of the school libraries!
