Dear Hill-Roberts Families,
We hope everyone had a joyous Holiday break and a Happy New Year!
It was wonderful to welcome our students back on Tuesday after a restful break. We enjoyed hearing/reading about their time spent playing, laughing, and visiting with family and friends. Personally, on our first day back, I enjoyed hearing and reading our first grade students’ New Years Resolutions; it even inspired me to beef up my own haha.
All in all, from Tuesday on, It was great to see our teachers create space to welcome our students back (which can be a tough transition for many) while re-engaging academic skills on day one. From now until February break we will be working hard to make the most of the New Years! In short, we will continue our resolution to help your students maximize their holistic potential.

Respiratory Illnesses - Covid, Flu and RSV are still with us as we start to move into the colder months of January and February. Please remember to keep your child home if they are not feeling well, have a bad cough or have vomited, had diarrhea or fever in the past 24 hours. They may return to school once free of vomiting, diarrhea or fever with no medicine for at least 24 hrs. Free Covid kits are available through the link below: https://www.covid.gov/tools-an...
Vision and Hearing Screenings are well underway. I am currently ½ way through Second grade and will start on First grade in the next few weeks. Please make sure your students are wearing their glasses every day. Referrals will be sent home with the student. If you do not want your student to participate, please send me a letter stating so.
Pants to Donate? I am in desperate need of pants, sizes 5/6 through 8/9. I am well stocked on larger sizes. I particularly need unisex or boys pants, but will gladly accept girls pants as well.
Recycling Eyeglasses - Lastly, if you have any old presciption eye glasses that you don’t know what to do with. I will gladly accept those and pass them onto the Lion’s Club for their Eyeglass Recycling Program. The Lion’s Club is very involved with helping all of the schools support the various needs of our students and this is one way we can show our appreciation for all they do for our community.

The date to return your yearbook cover for the Cover Contest has been extended! The new due date is JANUARY 12, 2024! The flyer is here with guidelines and requirements. Please submit your covers to hrybpics@gmail.com or give them to your teacher by NEXT FRIDAY!
